Learn about York Residents of the past

For York Residents Weekend 2025, come learn about the most famous and interesting past parishioners of Holy Trinity Goodramgate. Our volunteers will be delivering special additional tours at 11.30 and 14.00 across both days of the weekend. Hobnob with George Hudson (disgraced former Mayor and Railway King), dally with Rev Dallin (the vicar for Anne Lister and Ann Walker’s visit in 1840), feel at home with the de Holmes or de Howoms (wealthy sponsors of the St James’ Chapel) and more. Tours are free. Group sizes will be capped at 15 max for each tour. No need to book. Simply request on arrival.

Free, but donations welcome.

We will not be requesting proof of York Residency in order to attend the tour. Proof may be required for other parts of the Festival.
