East Bridge Chorale perform Haydn's Creation

St Mary's Art Centre Sandwich, Kent, CT13 9HN

Sun 30th March 2025 6:00PM

East Bridge Chorale is proud to be starting our fifteenth anniversary year with one of the great masterpieces of Classical music. Haydn was inspired to write his Creation during visits to London, when he was exposed to Handel’s grand oratorios, Messiah and Israel in Egypt. The work which ensued takes us through the six days it took God to create the world. It is a statement of Haydn’s deep religious faith, expressed through a series of dramatic scenes and sublime music.

Join us for an unforgettable evening of music at St. Mary's Arts Centre in Sandwich, Kent.

Directed by Benedict Preece, the 90-strong choir are accompanied by the full East Bridge Concert Orchestra, with solo performances from members of Caritas Chamber Choir.
