Re-opening our churches
From today, a number of CCT churches will begin to re-open to the public after the closure due to Covid-19. A number of sites will be open to visitors with the remaining churches opening in the coming weeks. We will be following all the necessary Government guidelines and the framework laid out by Visit Britain, to ensure that churches are safe and welcoming.
Peter Aiers, Chief Executive, CCT says: “We are delighted to be able to begin re-opening our churches, all of which can provide a beacon of hope in the most difficult of times. The historic church building has a meaning and purpose, which has survived for centuries, through all the challenges that each generation has faced. Our churches have been closed to the public for nearly three months, so they need a thorough check and we are putting in place measures to support Covid-19 Secure visiting. Our volunteers and staff are working hard to get our remaining churches open.”
Not all churches will be open straight away, so it is important to check the website before you travel. The website is updated daily and new opening times will be posted.
