Memorial Service at St Margaret's Westminster for Peter Ainsworth

We wish to express our gratitude to our wonderful Chairman, Peter Ainsworth, who sadly died in April. Trustees past and present, colleagues and friends will gather at his Memorial Service today to give thanks for his life and work, including our former Chairman, Loyd Grossman, who will be representing our President His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales.
Peter was dedicated to securing the future for historic church buildings, and last year during the various national lockdowns he anonymously wrote 'Defeated? A Sonnet to Empty Churches'. We placed this in each church under our care and you can read it here.
