Historic Church in Ipswich is looking for new partner to call it home

Following the recent decision by Suffolk MIND not to reopen at Quay Place in central Ipswich, in light of the impact of COVID-19 on their business; the Churches Conservation Trust (CCT) are looking for community-focussed charities and wellbeing organisations in Suffolk who may be interested in delivering services through, working out of, leasing, or using Quay Place as a base for community engagement.

Also known as St. Mary at the Quay, the church has undergone a £3.6 million refurbishment, and has now been converted into a combined Heritage and Wellbeing centre, with space for events, complementary therapies, counselling, performances and business meetings.  The site is deeply rooted within the historic fabric of Ipswich, and now plays a pivotal role in the redevelopment and regeneration of the waterfront area.

Guy Foreman, CCT Head of Enterprise says: “Quay place is a beautiful historic building for a variety of different activities, both community-led and commercial and is well positioned at the heart of the Ipswich re-development zone to link to all of the additional services and business development that is currently taking place in the area.

If you are interested in finding out more and would like more information, and perhaps a more informal discussion around the various options and partnership opportunities, please do get in touch with either Guy Foreman, CCT Head of Enterprise, on [email protected] – 07823 341 544; or Simon Wiles, CCT Head of SE Region, [email protected] – 07469 857 546.
