Routine Maintenance Contracts - North
We are currently undertaking the retendering of the Routine Maintenance Contracts for the North region and we are inviting expressions of interest from suitably qualified conservation contractors.
Maintenance is central to our conservation approach, and we aim to preserve our churches through timely repairs and protection. The care and maintenance of historic buildings requires experience, skills and expertise, as well as a passion for conservation.
Through the delivery of the national maintenance programme across the estate, the Trust supports the continuation and growth of many traditional crafts, and aims to ensure the survival of those vital skills which are at risk of being lost.
The CCT has over 50 years’ experience of caring for historic churches. We have developed a maintenance model that is efficient, transparent and offers a good quality/cost balance, designed for managing a large, varied and dispersed estate. Our contractors are experienced local craftspeople who understand historic buildings and have the skills to undertake repairs when necessary.
In common with other government-sponsored and statutory bodies, we have a duty to ensure transparency and economy of service procurement whilst maintaining the best possible care for all churches in our guardianship.
