York Unlocked – 5 and 6 October 2024, Open 11am to 4pm each day plus Goodramgate Tours at 3pm on Saturday 5 October and 11am on Sunday 6 October.
As well as having our information boxes on George Hudson, Anne Lister and John Walker set out again we are inviting people to join Sarah Cowling on two tours of Goodramgate to learn about our historic parishioners.
See where their memorials are located inside the church, their gravestones outside and then visit the places where they lived and worked up and down Goodramgate. With sculptors, bakers, innkeepers and even comedians - there are so many stories to discover. The tour will last approximately one hour and will begin at Holy Trinity, Goodramgate.
Places are strictly limited to a maximum of 25 for each tour, but there will be a waiting list in the event that the tour is fully booked.
