Special Service to Celebrate Local Connection to the Sea

A special service will be held in Lynn’s St Nicholas Chapel this weekend as part of a day of events to celebrate Sea Sunday. Traditionally, the day was when boats and nets would be blessed in the chapel. However, in more recent times, the day has been held to remember seafarers and pray for them, their families and all those who support them. The service will take place in the chapel at 10am, before a procession to the fisher fleet at 11am, where the boats will be blessed.
