Date:
15th June 2024
Time:
1845 for a 1900 start
Price:
Free

An evening of stand up from a selection of York's finest comedians

CANCELLED - APOLOGIES FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE

In 1739, Joseph Petersen, comedian and parishioner of Holy Trinity, described his efforts to entertain as those of "an inexperienced undertaker". Have we improved since then?

Acts include Kenny Watt, Mick Karma, Jamie Clinton, Chris Booker, Isobel Wilson, John Pease and others.

Jimmy Johnson, a stand up and writer from Bangor, North Wales, now based in York, hosts a selection of 10 minute performances. He describes his own MCing skills as "dubious", but the quality of the acts he's introducing should more than make up for it!

Suitable for ages 14 and up.

Pay what you feel. There will be a bucket collection on the day. No booking required.

Holy Trinity is fully accessible save for the Sunken Chapel area (which will not impact on this performance). Please note that the floors are uneven, light levels may be low and the temperature is likely to be lower than outside the building. Blankets are available.
