We are delighted to be exhibiting Nicholas Gibbs works featuring ruins in beautiful and peaceful landscapes, juxtaposed with others in war-torn lands brought to life by his haunting war sonnets. Nicholas Gibbs has recently exhibited his "A Colourful Life" collection at Colet House in London and will be displaying some of these paintings of ruins in colourful scenic landscapes, along with some from his "Ruins of War" produced during his time as a war artist. The latter is also a series of ruins, but in very different circumstances and surroundings, which are thought-provokingly brought to life by Nicholas's war sonnets. Examples of Nicholas's painted and written work are currently in the Imperial War Museum.

Nicholas will be reciting war poetry, some of his own war sonnets with others that you might already be familiar with.

Approx: 100 paintings will be exhibited
