Patronal Service at St. Margaret's Church - Hales
St Margaret's Church, Hales, Norfolk
In the middle of rural Norfolk, come and celebrate the day of St. Margaret.
Starting at 3.00 p.m. the service will be conducted at St. Margaret's - one of the few events that takes place in this remote country church.
Accompanied by the Spooner Row West Gallery Quire, who sing in local south Norfolk churches.
Parking is very limited, so best to share a car, or park further away up the lane and walk to the church.
The thatched roof is in desperate need of repair, and the Churches Conservation Trust are appealing for £10,000 to repair the roof and make minor improvements to the church which will help it remain standing for many more year to come - for visitors who appreciate the value of this round-towered church.
