The third in a series of seven lunchtime lectures on Exeter's historic buildings, by local specialists
On Monday, 19 March, John Thorp, a well known and popular speaker, will be taking us through the history of St Martin's Church and other churches of late Saxon and Norman Exeter. John, Exeter Cathedral’s own archaeologist, is a fellow of the Society of Antiquaries and is also the Archaeological Adviser for Glastonbury Abbey. Formerly he was Curator of Antiquities at Exeter Museum (1984-2004).
John has published a book and numerous papers on the archaeology and architecture of South-West England.
