Medieval Study Day - Warburton
St Werburgh's Church, Warburton, Greater Manchester
A study day exploring medieval culture, with fascinating talks and an afternoon concert
Talks will include:
- Local Medieval Architecture
- Artefacts of Folk Magic
- Pilgrimage in England
There will also be a display of herbs used in the medieval period.
The afternoon will end with a concert by Roger Child (lute, and other instruments) and Sasha Johnson Manning (soprano), performing music from the medieval to baroque periods.

Second Study Day at New St Werburgh's, 20th May 2017
There will be a second study day at the New Church of St Werburgh, Bent Lane, Warburton, Nr Lymm, WA13 9QT.
Talks will include:
- A Millenium of Monasticism
- Education for the masses
- A history of Warburton Village School (including an exhibition)
- The Victorian Way of Death
At 4.00pm there will be a celebration of Choral Evensong in the Victorian style, with visiting choir Ex Choro.
The fee to attend both days will be £35.00.
