Every year during this weekend, thousands of volunteers around the country open many historic buildings to the public. The Friends of St Peter’s will participate as usual and this is your chance to visit St Peter’s, see our research into the history, families and monuments, chat to us and perhaps add to our findings.
Heritage Open Day - Offord D'Arcy
St Peter's Church, Offord D'Arcy, Cambridgeshire
Explore 700 years of Offord d'Arcy's history on Heritage Open Day!
The Friends of St. Peter's at Offord D'Arcy have spent over a decade researching and discovering new information about the history of this important church, going back over 7 centuries.
See how local residents of past years have a family tree that resulted in three Kings and Queens of England. Right up to the modern day, there are archives of how Offord d'Arcy participated in the Festival of Britain in 1951, together with much more information and reading material of people who have passed through these church doors.
On Saturday, the church is open between 10.00 and 5.00 p.m., and on Sunday, from 1.00 until 6.00 p.m.
