Heritage Open Day - King's Lynn
St Nicholas' Chapel, King's Lynn, Norfolk
We love Heritage Open Day here in King's Lynn! We're throwing our doors open and we're in good company, with many fine buildings across the our town open to visitors.
We've also got some interesting activities planned, as we like to keep it lively!
11.30pm – 12.15pm: Madrigal Singers ‘Sing we and Chant It’, with Elizabethan songs of love, loss and a good time!
12.30pm: Peter Godden will play and talk about The splendid Father Henry Willis Organ here at the Chapel.
2pm: We will be joined by the Lavender Hill Theatre Mob with their musical playlet ‘Wish Me Luck’, based on evacuees coming to Norfolk in WW2.
There will be the chance to visit our secret room, the parvais, and The Friends of St Nicholas Chapel will be operating a pop up café throughout the day.
We've Wacky Weaving drop in workshops for families, along with 3 self-led trails. You can also explore the history of the Chapel and medieval King's Lynn through our interactive interpretation.
