On this walking tour discover the incredible rich heritage of Norwich and enjoy the festive delights of mulled wine and mince pies along the way.
Our first stop will be Norwich Cathedral, a spectacular example of Romanesque architecture. Over 900 years old this Norman cathedral is truly awe inspiring, and there is much to enjoy inside and out.
Next we will visit Norwich's medieval Great Hospital that has been serving the community since the 13th century. With a guided tour discover the rich and varied history and architecture including one of the smallest monastic cloisters in England; a fine medieval refectory; excellent examples of Georgian decorated ceilings; an 18th century swan pit and a large Victorian hall are some examples of this.
After a short walk into the heart of the historic Norwich Lanes we will visit the CCT church of St John Maddermarket. Situated on a busy street this 500 year old city church has always been urban in setting which is reflected in it's unusual proportions - being almost as wide as it is long.
From our final stop enjoy the view of Christmas lights over Norwich Market and City Hall. St Peter Mancroft is the largest of the city's 31 medieval parish churches. Known for it's medieval stained glass and renaissance treasures there is much to discover here.
