Free storytelling, crafts and family activities at the site of a medieval battle.

Did you know that at The Battle of Shrewsbury, the heir to the throne and later King Henry V, was wounded with an arrow in the face? The stunning church of St Mary Magdalene was built on this site.

On Monday May 8th The Churches Conservation Trust will be hosting a FREE family activity day, complete with a storyteller, crafts, make your own crown, design your own coat of arms from 11am until 3pm at St Mary's Church, Battlefield, Shrewsbury. There are also some wonderful local walks and a superb cafe and farm shop nearby serving delicious, locally sourced food.
