Wensley Camerata is an orchestra formed in 2022 who perform Baroque music under conductor Martin Budgett.

Following on last year’s sell-out concert they are giving another concert at Holy Trinity Wensley on Saturday 19th August at 7pm.

The soloists are Richard Selwyn Sharpe (Organ), Michael Atkinson (Trumpet) and Jane Burnell (Soprano).

Richard is the organist at Holy Trinity Wensley and co-founder of Wensley Camerata.

Michael is a former Bandmaster in the Royal Marines and member of the Richmondshire Orchestra.

Jane is an up and coming soprano who studies at the Royal Northern College of Music, and performed Handel arias with Manchester Baroque at this year’s Swaledale Festival.

Telemann’s Trumpet Concerto in D

Aria :“Tornami a Vagheggiar” from Handel’s Alcina

Handel’s Orchestral Suite in D HWV 341

 

Following the concert at Holy Trinity there is a reception at The Forthering House Wensley, by kind permission of Valerie Lady Bolton.

 

Proceeds will be divided between Hopes and Homes for Children and Churches Conservation Trust.
