ST PETER’S CHURCH, OFFORD DARCY
St Peter’s Churchyard Rewilding Open Day
Saturday 29 June 2024   11am to 4pm
FREE ENTRY

All are invited to visit the churchyard to see the progress made on the rewilding project.

We are actively managing the Churchyard in a way that encourages wild flowers and benefits wildlife, whilst being sensitive to visitors’ needs.

We are especially inviting children of the Offords and so activities and competitions are being organised for them:

  • An Art Competition/Exhibition for age ranges from pre-school to upper Junior years
  • A Flower Arranging Competition in memory of long standing village resident and whose favourite flower was a primrose.

Certificates for all entrants, and prizes awarded by an art teacher judge.

There will also be:

  • A Discovery trail
  • Bird spotting
  • Wildlife rubbings
  • Crafts and fun for the children
  • A plant sale
  • Cambridgeshire Beekeepers Association
  • Cambridgeshire Mammals Group findings
  • Refreshments – including tea and cakes

A Portaloo is booked so no need to worry about lack of facilities.

The church will also be open to all visitors.
