Suffolk: Gipping Valley Walk

A scenic circular walk which over looks the Gipping Valley, north of Ipswich.

There are two very different CCT churches which you will discover on route; St Peter’s in Claydon is stunning, full of vibrant stain glass and extravagant carvings. Whereas St Mary’s in Akenham has a beautiful simple interior and solitary grave of a two year old boy, who died in 1878, which helped alter the Burial Laws.

The walk is moderately easy with some narrow, uneven sections and can be muddy after rain. Distance of 3.5 miles (5.5 kms) and will take approximately an hour.
