Gloucestershire: A Tale of Two Churches

A wonderful four-mile walk in the Gloucestershire Cotswolds

This walk starts in the picture postcard twin villages of Eastleach Martin and Eastleach Turville, with their medieval sister churches stood facing each other on opposite banks of the River Leach. Perfect for a leisurely walk along the meandering river, along the way visitors will be moved by the idyllic Cotswolds scenery that inspired poet John Keble (one-time rector of our own St Martin's and St Michael's).

  • Start point: bridge over the River Leach in Eastleach (start grid ref: SP202052)
  • Distance: approx. 4.25 miles
  • Route: circular
  • Ease: Easy
