About this Church
An old estate church with a family mausoleum
Beautiful brasses, carvings and monuments can be found in this slender-towered estate church located near fourteenth-century Shirburn Castle. The Earls of Macclesfield have owned Shirburn Castle since 1716. The north transcept of All Saints' Church contains their family pew and the north chapel is the Macclesfield family mausoleum.
Access information
Access via a grass path from the castle drive to the churchyard, through a wide south door with one step down.
Limited parking on drive to entrance of the castle, then up a grass slope through a gate leading to the grass churchyard and level entrance to the south porch.
Facilities & Hire
Due to its historic nature All Saints' Church Shirburn has no toilets, running water, lighting or heating.
