Beautiful medieval wall paintings
This is an isolated church set in meadows beside a farm, with an attractive Norman round tower that has a conical tiled roof. Inside, St Mary's boasts a series of beautiful fourteenth-century wallpaintings, elegantly rendered in shades of grey and ochre depicting St Christopher and scenes from the Seven Works of Mercy, as well as the Ten Commandments. There is also a thirteenth-century font and a seventeenth-century pulpit.
