Community Engagement and Volunteering Manager
Communities and volunteers are at the heart of our work. We’ve worked with local people throughout our 50 year history and we would not be able to care for these churches without their unwavering commitment and passion.
We recognise the importance of regularly reviewing our support, ensuring we remain relevant and welcoming to anyone and everyone who wants to give their time to their CCT church, either informally or in a more traditional volunteering role.
We’ve recently undertaken a scoping study of this support and have clear recommendations to implement. The Community Engagement and Volunteering Manager will be responsible for implementing and embedding improvements across the organisation.
You will develop and implement a consistent approach to community and volunteer management, supporting our existing 2,500+ volunteers and community supporters. You will lead on the development of tools and processes and provide training for colleagues who work with supporters throughout the charity, to ensure those who give their time to the charity have a rewarding experience and feel valued.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced volunteer manager to lead on strategic improvements in community engagement and volunteer support with a long standing heritage charity.
The role is hybrid with regular travel across England and attendance at national and regional meetings and events.
